PB8로 선택된 미생물 성장 농축물은 치커리 뿌리 (Cichorium intybus) 에서 나오는 천연 탄수화물인 이눌린 (inulin) 입니다. 이눌린은 또한 여러 가지 과일, 야채 및 곡물에 포함되어 있습니다. 이눌린은 장내 유익한 박테리아의 선택 성장을 촉진하고 "프리바이오틱 (Prebiotic)" 으로 간주되고 있습니다.

The microflora growth concentrate selected for PB8® is inulin, a natural carbohydrate from chicory root (Cichorium intybus). Inulin is also found in a variety of fruits, vegetables, and grains.
